Bicycle dynamics is the science of the motion of bicycles and their components, due to the forces acting on them. The study of these motions begins in the Silverback lab.

It's where technical precision and design performance are challenged to the very limits of feasibility. Our strategic analysis is focused on converting research data into product solutions that create purposeful forms and demanding lines.

If the bike and rider are considered to be a single system, the forces that act on that system and its components can be roughly divided into two groups:internal and external. The external forces are due to gravity, inertia, contact with the ground and the atmosphere. The internal forces are caused by the rider and by interaction between components. Our designers and developers embrace every aspectto achieve bicycling perfection.
